Trunk Lid (Sedan)

Removal

PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Raise the lid.

3. Disconnect the inner lid panel by releasing the clips.

4. Disconnect the connector and pull the connector and wiring out of the lid, tying to the cord and removing the seal. Leave the cord in the lid.

5. Mark the position of the hinges relative to the lid.

6. Supporting the lid, remove the bolts and remove the lid. Installation

PROCEDURE

1. Install the lid with two people, tighten the hinge bolts aligned with the marks and tighten the bolts.

2. Pull the wiring through the lid, tying it to the cord.

3. Adjust the lid.

Adjustment

PROCEDURE

1. Close the lid and check the clearances with adjacent body panels. If necessary, loosen the hinge bolts and adjust the lid position, then tighten the bolts.

2. After adjusting the hood, check the latch operation and adjust. Loosen the latch bolts, adjust the position and tighten the bolts.
