Interior Trim Panels

GENERAL INFORMATION

Interior trim panels are secured with metal or plastic clips or retainers, which should be removed using a trim panel removal tool.

In some places, adjacent panels must be removed to remove this panel.

Removal and installation

PROCEDURE

Driver's Footwell Trim Panel

1. Pry out the trim cover and remove the screws.

2. Turn and remove the rear retainer, then remove the panel.

3. Install the panel in the reverse order.

Sill Trim

4. Disconnect the door opening seal, pry off the trim, and release the clips.

5. When installing, press the trim in until it clicks.

Pillar Trim

6. Disconnect the door seal, pry off and remove the trim.

7. When assembling, carefully insert the door seal.

Interior Door Panel

8. See sub-section 13.11.

Rear Shelf (Sedan)

9. Remove the rear armrest.

10. Disconnect the two front plastic clips of the shelf trim.

11. Pry up from the rear and remove the shelf trim.

12. If necessary, the shelf assembly can be removed. To do so, remove the lower seat belt bolt and pass the belt through the shelf opening.

13. Install the shelf in the reverse order of removal.

Luggage Compartment Trim (Sedan)

14. To remove the rear panel, remove the seal and lift the panel up, disconnecting it from the clips.

15. The luggage compartment floor is secured by plastic retainers. Remove the cargo strap brackets and the lamp, then remove the mats.

16. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Luggage Compartment Trim (Coupe and Hatchback)

17. Remove the plastic plugs and remove the 4 rear panel mounting screws.

18. Remove the luggage compartment floor as follows.

19. Lift the rear part of the floor.

20. Pry and disconnect the rear floor clips from the body.

21. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Luggage Compartment Lid Inner Panel (Sedan)

22. Pry and disconnect the plastic clips, remove the panel from the clips at the rear of the lid, and remove it.

23. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Cargo Area Trim (Hatchback)

24. Pry and disconnect the plastic clips, and remove the screws. Carefully guide the trim panel out using a fork-type puller, releasing the clips concealed under the rear of the panel (left photo), then remove the trim panel (right photo).
