Maintenance - Upholstery and Carpets

GENERAL INFORMATION

Floor mats should be cleaned regularly with a brush or vacuum cleaner so that dirt does not accumulate on them. If stains appear, remove the mats from the vehicle and clean them with a brush and soap, and make sure they are dry before installing them. Seats and interior trim panels can be kept clean by wiping them with a damp cloth. If stains appear (which are more visible on light-colored trim), use a small amount of liquid cleaner and a soft brush to remove dirt from the trim fabric. Do not forget to keep the head restraints clean in the same way as the seat upholstery. When using liquid cleaners in the vehicle interior, do not apply too much liquid to the surfaces being cleaned. Excess moisture may get into the seams or soak the padding, leaving stains, unpleasant odors, or even causing rot.

If water is accidentally spilled inside the vehicle, dry it thoroughly, especially the floor mats. Do not leave oil or electric heaters inside the vehicle for this purpose.
