Door Lock, Lock Switch, and Handle Components

Removal and installation

PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable and remove the interior door panel.

2. Disconnect the rod from the lock (shown by arrows).

3. Remove the lock mounting screws (shown by arrows).

4. Remove the lock together with the power actuator (if equipped).

5. Install the lock in the reverse order. Apply thread locking compound to the screws.

Lock Switch and Outside Handle

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable and remove the interior door panel.

2. Disconnect the rod from the operating levers.

3. Remove the nuts and remove the handle (nuts securing the outside door handle are shown by arrows).

4. Disconnect the rod from the switch, remove the clip, and remove the switch.

5. Install the switch in the reverse order.

Interior Handle

1. Remove the handle trim cover.

2. Remove the screws and remove the handle.

3. Disconnect the rod from the handle.

4. Install the handle in the reverse order.
