GENERAL INFORMATION

The body is constructed of pressed panels and may be one of the following types: 4-door sedan, 5-door hatchback and 5-door estate. Most components are spot welded, in some cases adhesive is used, and the front fenders are bolted on.

The underbody and lower part of the doors are coated with a protective material to prevent scratches.

Plastic is widely used, especially for interior trim, but also for exterior components. The outer sections of the front and rear bumpers are made of synthetic material, which is very strong yet lightweight. Plastic components, such as wheel arch panels, are installed on the underside of the vehicle to reduce corrosion.
