LOCK ("Lock")

~1min read

The steering shaft is locked by the anti-theft device and the steering wheel cannot turn. This protects the vehicle from theft. The key can only be removed from the ignition switch in this position. On models equipped with an automatic transmission, the gear selector lever is also locked in the "P" (Park) position in this key position.

To unlock the steering wheel, insert the key into the ignition switch and, while turning the steering wheel slightly, turn the ignition key at the same time.
