Checking Fluid Levels - Windshield and Rear Window Washer Fluid

14 Windshield washer fluid is filled into a special reservoir located in the front left corner of the engine compartment. In temperate climates, plain water may be used as washer fluid. However, do not fill the reservoir more than 2/3 full, to allow for expansion of the water if it freezes during cold weather. When operating the vehicle in severe climatic conditions, fill the reservoir only with proprietary washer fluids that lower the freezing point accordingly. To prevent the glass from icing up when washing in cold weather, first warm it by blowing air that has passed through the heater core over the glass.
Never add the coolant used in the cooling system to the washer fluid. Antifreeze is aggressive to the paint finish of body panels!
