Navigation functions in the Ford Mustang (6th Gen) provide modern route guidance and intuitive operation. This section explains how destinations are entered, favorites are saved and current traffic data is processed. Voice control makes the system easier to use while driving. The system also provides information about POIs, speed alerts and alternative routes. Users benefit from dynamic route guidance that avoids traffic jams and optimizes travel times. Regular map updates ensure the information stays current, for efficient and relaxed trips in town and on long-distance journeys.

WARNINGS

Devices that are radio frequency transmitters, such as mobile phones or amateur radio equipment, may only be installed if they meet the parameters in the table below. No special requirements or conditions apply for installation or use.

Do not place objects or mounting materials on the airbag cover, on the front seatbacks, or in areas of the front seats that could come into contact with a deploying airbag. Failure to observe these instructions may increase the risk of injury in a collision.

Do not attach antenna cables to the vehicle's original wiring, fuel lines or brake lines.

Route antennas and power supply cables at least 10 cm away from electronic modules and airbags.

Note: Your vehicle has been tested and certified for electromagnetic compatibility in accordance with statutory requirements (72/245/EEC, UN ECE Regulation 10 or other applicable local regulations). It is the operator's responsibility to ensure that any additional equipment installed complies with locally applicable statutory regulations. Have any additional equipment installed by an authorized dealer checked.

Note: After installing radio frequency transmitters in standby and transmit mode, check for interference to and from electrical equipment in the vehicle.

Check all electrical consumers:

  • with the ignition switched on
  • with the engine running
  • during a road test at various speeds

Make sure that the electromagnetic fields generated by the transmitter in the vehicle interior do not exceed the applicable human exposure limits.
