WARNINGS
Always disconnect the battery before servicing high-current fuses.
To minimize the risk of electric shock, always reinstall the power distribution box cover before connecting the battery or adding fluids.
The power distribution box is located in the engine compartment. It contains several high-current fuses that protect the vehicle's most important electrical systems from overload.
After disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, some functions must be reset. See Replacing the 12V Battery.

WARNING
Replace fuses only with fuses of the specified amperage. Using a higher amperage may cause severe damage to the wiring and cause a fire.

If electrical consumers in the vehicle do not function, a fuse may have blown. A broken fuse wire indicates a blown fuse. Check the corresponding fuses before replacing any electrical components.
