GENERAL INFORMATION

The airbag ground circuit must remain closed after removal until the seat is installed and connected. To do this, connect jumper VAS 5094.

CAUTION

To prevent accidental deployment of the side airbag by electrostatic discharge, discharge static electricity. To do this, touch the door lock latch or body.

PROCEDURE

1. Using a screwdriver –4–, release lock –2– of side airbag connector –1–, and disconnect the connector in the direction of arrow –3–.

2. If the connector does not disconnect, push the connector lock to the side with finger –5– and pull the entire connection forward. Then disconnect the connector as described above.

3. Insert connector –2– of adapter VAS 5094 into housing –3–.

4. Connect airbag ignition wire –6– to connector –1– of the adapter.
