Door Window Regulator and Window Glass

Door Window Glass REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. Lower the window glass –2– fully down.

2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to subsection Removing and Installing Door Trim Panel.

3. Remove the door adjusting element holder –1–. Refer to subsection Removing and Installing Front Door and Adjusting Element Holder.

4. Mark the position of the glass relative to supports –4– in height and longitudinally with a felt-tip pen.

5. Unscrew screws –5–.

6. Remove the glass from supports –4– upward. INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. Insert the glass into supports –4–.

2. Reinstallation: install the glass according to the previously made marks. If a new glass is installed, insert it into the guide and move it toward the B-pillar until it stops.

3. New glass: raise the glass with the window regulator without screw –5– fully up, then close support –4–.

4. Screw in screws –5– and tighten them to 4.5 N·m.

5. Install the holder. Refer to subsection Removing and Installing Front Door and Adjusting Element Holder.

6. Install the door trim panel. Refer to subsection Removing and Installing Door Trim Panel.

Window Regulator REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Removal and Installation of Door Trim Panel.

2. Remove holder –1–. Refer to subsection Removing and Installing Front Door and Adjusting Element Holder.

3. Drill out the heads of rivets –6–.

4. Drive out the rivets with a drift punch.

5. Remove window regulator –3–.

6. Drive the rivets out of the holder. INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. Insert window regulator –3– into holder –1–.

2. Secure the window regulator with new rivets. Use special tool, for example HAZET.

3. Install the holder. Refer to subsection Removing and Installing Front Door and Adjusting Element Holder.

4. Install the door trim panel. Refer to subsection Removing and Installing Door Trim Panel.
