Central Locking System – General Information and Vacuum Hoses
Central locking wiring 1 – pressure/vacuum hose 2 – front and rear door adjustment element 3 – fuel filler flap adjustment element 4 – bushing 5 – tailgate adjustment element 6 – central locking pump 7 – bushing 8 – connector
The central locking system has a vacuum actuator. After the vehicle has been idle for a long time and after replacing the pump, it operates only after the switch is activated repeatedly.
If the system is serviceable, locking of all locks takes effect 2 s after switching on. If the pump runs for more than 5 s, there is a leak in the system.
If there is a leak, the pump must not run for more than 50 s, after which the control unit in the central locking pump switches the pump off.
