REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. Mark the position of the lock wedge element with a felt-tip pen.

2. Unscrew nuts –2– and remove wedge element –1–.

INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. Install the lock wedge element according to the marking and tighten the nuts by hand.

2. Close the tailgate; the lock must engage.

3. Adjust the position of the tailgate. The lid must align flush with the body contour and have a uniform gap relative to it. Refer to Specifications.

4. Open the lid and tighten nuts –2– to a torque of 8 N·m.

5. Close the lid and check the gap and closing quality. If necessary, readjust the position of the lid.
