Removing and Installing Side Reinforcement Beam/Window Guide Rail Bracket

Side reinforcement beam/window guide rail bracket 1 – window guide rail 2 – clip 3 – door 4 – cover 5 – bolt, 8 N·m 6 – reinforcement beam

Reinforcement Beam REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. Remove the door adjusting element beam, refer to sub-section Removing and Installing Front Door and Adjusting Element Carrier.

2. Unscrew bolts –5– and remove reinforcement beam –6–.

INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. Bond the side airbag in place, refer to sub-section Installing Side Airbag.

2. Install reinforcement beam –6– and secure it with bolts –5–.

3. Install the door adjusting element beam, refer to sub-section Removing and Installing Front Door and Adjusting Element Carrier.

Window Guide Rail REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. Remove the adjusting element beam, refer to sub-section Removing and Installing Front Door and Adjusting Element Carrier.

2. Unscrew the pin from clip –2– and remove the clip.

3. Remove the pin (arrow) in the area of the B-pillar door and remove the window guide rail. INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. Install the window guide rail in place.

2. Insert clip –2– and lightly press in the pin.

3. Press in the pin (arrow).

4. Install the door adjusting element beam, refer to sub-section Removing and Installing Front Door and Adjusting Element Carrier.
