REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. Remove the tailgate trim panel. Refer to the subsection Tailgate Trim Panel Removal and Installation.

2. Unscrew nuts –1– and bolts –3–. If a retainer is fitted, remove it.

3. Pull the handle bracket –6– slightly out of the tailgate and disconnect the license plate light connector.

4. Remove the bracket. INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. Insert the bracket into the holes.

2. Install retainer –2– (if fitted) on the latch and pull it together with the outer bolt and bracket.

3. Connect the license plate light connector.

4. Secure the bracket with bolts –3– and nuts –1–.
