Tailgate Hinge Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. Remove the rear roof trim panel. Refer to the subsection Rear Roof Trim Panel Removal and Installation.

2. Remove the tailgate –6–. Refer to the subsection Tailgate Removal and Installation.

3. Unscrew nut –5– and remove it together with washer –4–.

4. Unscrew bolt –1–.

5. Remove hinge –2– and gasket –3–. INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. Install hinge –2– with a new seal –3–.

2. Install bolt –1– and tighten it to 20 N·m.

3. From the reverse side, install nut –5– with washer –4– and tighten it to 20 N·m.

4. Install the tailgate. Refer to the subsection Tailgate Removal and Installation.

5. Adjust the tailgate position. Refer to the subsection Tailgate Adjustment.

6. Install the rear roof trim panel. Refer to the subsection Rear Roof Trim Panel Removal and Installation.
