PROCEDURE
For radios with anti-theft coding, make sure the security code is available.
Disconnect the battery.
Insert the release tool (sometimes supplied with the installation kit) into the four holes at the corners of the front panel and pull the radio out of the center console.
Alternatively, insert four suitable nails or wire pieces into the holes and use them to release the retaining springs.
Pull the radio forward, carefully prying with a screwdriver if necessary.
Disconnect the wiring harness and antenna connectors.
When installing, make sure the rear locating pin of the radio engages the provided slot in the instrument panel. Hold the radio perfectly horizontal for this.
Push the radio slightly into the mounting opening until the retaining springs engage.
For radios with anti-theft coding, enter the security code as described in the owner's manual.
Note: The security code must be re-entered if the battery is disconnected, the radio fuse is replaced, or the radio power supply wires are disconnected.

The illustration shows radio removal using two release tools (1 and 2). The release tools press the retaining springs (3) apart, which allows the radio to be removed from the installation opening.

To access the two front speaker retaining screws (2), carefully remove the trim.
