Clock
In this manual: Instruments and Auxiliary Equipment

Only the lowest-output version of the Audi 80 (with a 66 kW engine) has a large conventional clock with hands installed as standard in the instrument cluster. In all other, more powerful Audi models, this position is occupied by a tachometer combined with a small digital clock. Both types of clock movements are quartz and operate with exceptional accuracy.
If the clock does not work, troubleshooting is limited to checking the fuse and the power supply wire. Digital clocks cannot be repaired. Repair of the clock with hands must be carried out only at a specialist workshop.
The clock removal procedure is described at the beginning of this chapter.
