On vehicles equipped with an airbag, this indicator illuminates for approximately ten seconds after the ignition is switched on as a function check. If it does not, replace the bulb (refer to the Disassembly section at the beginning of this chapter). The indicator must go out when the engine is running.


If the indicator comes on while driving, or does not go out after the engine starts, or does not illuminate at all, there is a malfunction.
