Is the wiper motor or the supply wire faulty?
The following check will help determine whether the wiper motor or the wiring is faulty:
PROCEDURE
Remove the left side of the cowl panel behind the washer fluid reservoir in the engine compartment by opening the rotary latch. If necessary, also remove the left wiper arm.
Disconnect the multi-pin connector of the wiper motor.
Now connect two jumper wires. One from the battery positive terminal to terminal 53 or 53b (connection of the black-gray or green-yellow wires).
The second wire is connected from the battery negative terminal to terminal 31 of the wiper motor (where the brown wire was inserted).
The wiper should now operate at first or second speed, depending on the terminal selected for the connection. Otherwise, the wiper motor is faulty.
If the wiper starts operating, the fault is in the switch or the supply wiring.
