Replacing the windshield wiper blade

On the disassembled wiper blade, the numbers identify the following parts
1 – metal wiper arm;
2 – metal wiper blade strips;
3 – rubber wiper blade insert.

Rubber wiper inserts last about six months. After that, you can decide whether to replace the entire wiper blade or, which is cheaper, only the rubber insert. In either case, the blade must be removed from the wiper arm.

PROCEDURE

Fold the wiper arm up.

Press down the plastic latch on the center wiper blade pin.

At the same time, pull the wiper blade off the wiper arm.

When installing, slide the blade onto the wiper arm until the latch engages.
