It flashes rhythmically when the corresponding trailer turn signal is operating with the trailer electrical system connected. If one of the trailer turn signals is faulty, the indicator does not flash in the corresponding direction.


With the hazard warning lights switched on and the trailer power connected, the indicator also flashes if one of the trailer signal lamps is faulty.
