Malfunction Possible Cause Remedy
A. Rear window wiper does not operate 1. Blown fuse
2. Faulty rear window wiper relay
3. Open circuit in wiring to rear window wiper relay
4. Open circuit in wiring to wiper motor
5. Faulty wiper motor		 Replace
Check relay
Repair wiring
Check wiring, especially between the rear door and body; repair if necessary
Replace
B. Rear window wiper does not switch off 1. Wiper motor connection wires are crossed
2. See A 2		 Connect the red-yellow wire to terminal 53, and the red-blue wire to terminal 53a
