i-SHIFT System Warning Light (manual transmission with automated shift mode)

For vehicles equipped with i-SHIFT transmission

The warning light illuminates for a few seconds when the ignition key is turned to the ON (II) position. If the warning light illuminates under any other conditions, or does not illuminate when the ignition key is turned to the ON (II) position, the i-SHIFT system is most likely malfunctioning.

Avoid sudden acceleration, frequent gear shifting and high-speed driving. Have the vehicle inspected by an authorized dealer as soon as possible.

When this warning light illuminates, a buzzer sounds. In addition, the multi-information display shows the “
” symbol, which may be accompanied by the message "CHECK SYSTEM" (refer to page 106).

This warning light also illuminates if the clutch overheats. After the clutch temperature drops, the light goes off. If the light goes off on the way to the dealer, you may continue driving normally.
