Windshield Wipers

1. MIST - Single wiper cycle
2. OFF - Off
3. INT - Intermittent wiper operation (AUTO)*
4. LO - Continuous wiper operation at low speed
5. HI - Continuous wiper operation at high speed
6. Windshield washer

*: Vehicles with automatic wiper operation: See page 138.

The windshield wipers are controlled by moving the control lever up or down.

MIST: Wipers operate at high speed until the lever is released.

OFF: Wipers are switched off.

INT: Wiper cycle timing depends on vehicle speed.

The interval between wiper sweeps can be adjusted using the INT TIME (delay time) adjustment ring.

If you set the shortest interval, the wipers will automatically switch to low speed when vehicle speed exceeds 20 km/h.

If the vehicle is stopped with any gear engaged, the wipers will perform a wiping cycle each time the foot is released from the brake pedal.

LO: Continuous low-speed wiper operation.

HI: Continuous high-speed wiper operation.

Windshield washers: To operate the windshield washer, pull the combination control lever toward you and hold it. Washer fluid from the washer reservoir will be continuously sprayed onto the windshield through the nozzles until the lever is released.

The wipers in low speed also operate at the same time. After the lever is released, the wiper blades make one more sweep and then switch off.

Headlight washers (for some vehicle versions): If exterior lights are on, to operate the windshield washers and headlight washers simultaneously, pull the wiper control lever toward you.

Headlight washers use fluid from the same reservoir as the windshield washer.

Automatic Intermittent Wipers

On certain vehicle variants

The automatic windshield wiper is activated by signals from the rain sensor.

To activate this mode, move the wiper control lever down to the AUTO position.

If the system detects rain, it automatically switches on the wipers and adjusts wiper speed (intermittent, low speed, high speed) depending on rain intensity.

The wipers can operate in automatic mode if vehicle speed exceeds 10 km/h.

If the wiper control lever is set to LO (Low speed) or HI (High speed), the wipers will operate at the selected speed.

Automatic operation is cancelled.

The sensitivity of the rain sensor system can be adjusted by turning the AUTO ring located on the wiper control lever.

The rain sensor is located in the upper central area of the windshield, next to the interior rearview mirror. If the sensor is covered with dust, dirt, oil, etc., the wipers may not operate correctly.

ВНИМАНИЕ
WARNING

Do not use automatic wiper mode when driving through an automatic car wash. Switch the system off when it is not in use.
