The gauge shows the approximate amount of fuel in the tank. The gauge has a small margin of error. When the ignition is switched off, the needle returns to zero.

For gasoline engine versions only

Avoid driving with a minimum amount of fuel in the tank. This may cause engine misfires and damage to the catalytic converter.

For diesel engine versions only

When starting the engine after the fuel has completely run out, the engine malfunction indicator will illuminate or the glow plug indicator will flash.
