Overhead Interior Lights

~1min read

The front light switch has two positions. In the DOOR position, the interior light comes on when any door is opened.

In the OFF position, the lights are off.

To select a switch position, press the button so that it extends. The front light unit also has two map lights. To turn a map light on or off, press the switch located next to it. Map lights can be used at any time.

The front interior light also comes on when the doors are unlocked with the key or remote transmitter, and when the ignition key is removed (if the switch is in the DOOR position).

The interior light is controlled by a three-position switch: ON, DOOR ACTIVATED, and OFF. In the DOOR ACTIVATED (center) position, the light comes on under the following conditions:

when any door is opened; when the ignition key is removed; if no door is opened after this, the light turns off automatically after 30 seconds;

when any door is unlocked with the key or the remote transmitter.

After all doors are closed, the interior lights gradually dim and turn off completely after 30 seconds.

If any door is left open and the ignition key is not in the ignition switch, the interior lights turn off after three minutes.
