Engine speed indicator

The indicator shows how close the tachometer needle is to the red zone of the scale.

If all six indicator segments are illuminated, the tachometer needle has reached the red zone boundary.

To avoid engine damage, do not exceed the maximum permissible engine speed (the tachometer reading must never enter the red zone).

Vehicles with i-SHIFT transmission

If you use the automatic mode of the transmission, the engine speed indicator is disabled. For more information, refer to page 326.
