The cigarette lighter works only when the ignition key is in the ACCESSORY (I) or ON (II) position. To turn on the lighter, press it in. After the heating element glows, the lighter automatically pops back out with a click.

Do not hold the lighter in while the heating element is glowing, as this may cause overheating and damage the lighter.

If the lighter is pressed with the ignition key in any position other than ACCESSORY (I) or ON (II), it will not pop back out.

To return the lighter to the extended position in this case, turn the ignition on. Do not try to forcibly remove the lighter.
