Glove compartment

To open the glove box, pull the handle toward the center console. To close the glove box, press on the lid.
The glove box light turns on only when the parking lights are on.

WARNING
An open glove box lid may cause serious injury to the front seat passenger in a collision, even if the passenger is wearing a seat belt.
Therefore, the glove box lid must be closed while the vehicle is in motion.
Cooled Glove Box (for some vehicle versions)
The air conditioning system can cool bottles and cans of beverages in the glove box. To cool the glove box, open it, then turn the knob located at the top counterclockwise to open the ventilation opening. Turn on the air conditioner (see pages 200 and 206) and set the ventilation mode to "
” or “
". Cold air will flow from the air conditioner into the glove box through the ventilation opening.

Store only unopened bottles and cans or containers that can be tightly sealed in the glove box. Spilled liquid may damage the glove box trim and the control panel electrical equipment.
If cooling of the glove box is not required, be sure to close the ventilation opening by turning the knob clockwise. If the ventilation opening is open, warm air from the heater may enter the glove box if it is switched on.
