Power Door Lock System

To lock the doors and the liftgate, press the upper part of the power door lock switch on the driver's door, pull the driver's door lock knob rearward, or lock the driver's door from the outside with the key.

Pressing the lower part of the power door lock switch or moving the driver's door lock knob will unlock all doors, including the liftgate.

When the driver's door is locked or unlocked from the outside with the key, the locks of all vehicle doors, including the liftgate, are locked or unlocked.

On some vehicle versions, pressing the lower part of the power door lock switch will unlock all doors, including the liftgate.

Using the driver's door lock knob, you can unlock only this door.

To unlock the driver's door from the outside, turn the key and release it.

If you turn the key again, all doors, including the liftgate, will unlock.

Each door is equipped with a door lock knob located next to the inside door handle. Moving the knob on the passenger door forward or rearward locks or unlocks only that door.

If a door is unlocked, a red indicator will be visible on the door lock knob located next to the inside door handle.

To lock the passenger door when leaving the vehicle, pull the lock knob rearward and then close the door. To lock the driver's door, remove the key from the ignition switch, pull the outside door handle and, while holding it, pull the lock knob rearward or press the power door lock switch, then close the door.

For vehicles equipped with the security system

When the doors are locked with the key or the remote transmitter, all turn signals and the turn signal indicators on the instrument panel flash three times to confirm that the locks are engaged and the security system is armed (see also page 273).

The security system is armed when all doors, including the liftgate, are locked using the driver's door lock knob or the main power door lock switch (see page 273).

Preventing Lock Lockout

If the key is left in the ignition switch and the driver's door is not closed, the power door lock switch cannot be used to control the door locks.

If the driver's door is closed, power door lock operation is not cancelled. If you try to lock the open driver's door by pulling the lock knob and the outside door handle at the same time, the lock knobs of all doors will extend.

Super Lock (Double Lock) System (for some vehicle versions)

The super lock system provides added protection against theft of the vehicle and the property inside it. To engage the super lock, turn the key toward the front of the vehicle twice within 5 seconds.

The super lock does not engage if any door, including the liftgate, is not fully closed.

However, it engages even when the hood is open or the windows are not raised.

When the super lock is active, the power door lock switch on the driver's door and the door lock knobs do not operate.

The super lock can also be engaged with the remote transmitter. To do this, press the LOCK button on the transmitter twice within 5 seconds (see page 155).

To cancel the double lock, unlock the driver's door with the key or use the remote transmitter.

For vehicles with ultrasonic sensor

The security system can be set to standby mode only with the remote transmitter. Unlocking the driver's door with the key activates the security alarm.

ПРЕДОСТЕРЕЖЕНИЕ
WARNING

If people remain in the vehicle after the double lock is activated, they will not be able to open the doors from the inside.

Before activating the double lock system, make sure there are no passengers in the vehicle.

For vehicles with ultrasonic sensor

If you activate the double lock system with the windows open, an unexpected alarm may be triggered, since the ultrasonic sensors may react to strong vibration or loud noise from outside the vehicle.
