This section provides practical tips for using the cabin climate control of the Ford Mustang (VI Gen) effectively. In addition to warnings about prolonged use of recirculation, it offers recommendations for heating and cooling quickly and keeping the windows clear. It also explains how the automatic climate control works depending on the outside temperature. These notes help optimize energy consumption and improve comfort, for a pleasant climate in the vehicle at all times.

General Notes

WARNING

Prolonged use of recirculation may cause the windows to fog up. If the windows fog up, use the settings for defogging the windshield.

Note: Regardless of the airflow distribution setting, a slight airflow may be felt from the floor vents.

Note: To reduce moisture buildup in the cabin, avoid driving with the system off or with recirculation running continuously.

Note: Do not place objects under the front seats, as they may block airflow to the rear seats.

Note: Remove snow, ice, and leaves from the air intakes below the windshield.

Note: To reduce the time needed to reach a comfortable temperature in hot weather, drive with the windows open until cool air is felt from the air vents.

Manual Climate Control

Note: Set the airflow distribution to the windshield vents to remove fog from the windshield in humid weather.

Automatic Climate Control

Note: If the vehicle interior is very hot or very cold, no adjustment of the settings is required. The system adjusts them automatically to heat or cool the interior to the desired temperature as quickly as possible.

For the system to work effectively, the instrument panel outlets and side air vents must be fully open.

Note: If AUTO is selected in cold outside temperatures, the system directs airflow to the windshield and side windows. The fan may run at lower speeds until the engine has warmed up.

Note: If AUTO is selected in hot outside or inside temperatures, the system automatically uses recirculation to cool the interior as quickly as possible.

Once the cabin reaches the selected temperature, the system automatically switches to recirculated air.
