When changing a wheel on the Ford Mustang VI Gen, special care must be taken to avoid damaging the tire pressure sensor. This section gives precise instructions for safely raising the vehicle and replacing the wheel. Important points on stability, storage and system reset are also covered. This guide is especially helpful for situations at the roadside. It raises awareness of hazards, emphasizes the role of the hazard warning lights and shows how to change the tire with minimal risk. Practical tips make this section an essential part of vehicle maintenance.

WARNINGS

Using tire sealant may damage the tire pressure monitoring system; tire sealant should be used only in emergencies while on the road. If the use of a sealant is unavoidable, use only the sealant from the Ford emergency tire kit. After using a sealant, the sensor and valve stem – tire pressure monitoring system on the affected tire must be replaced by a Ford dealer.

See Tire Pressure Monitoring System. If the tire pressure sensor is damaged, it will no longer function properly.

Note: The tire pressure monitoring system indicator lamp illuminates when the spare wheel is in use. To restore full function of the monitoring system, all wheels equipped with a sensor – tire pressure monitoring system must be fitted to the vehicle.

If a tire goes flat while driving, do not brake hard. Reduce your speed gently. Hold the steering wheel firmly and move slowly to a safe place off the roadway.

Have a flat tire repaired by a dealer so that the sensors – tire pressure monitoring system are not damaged. See Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Replace the spare wheel with a regular wheel as soon as possible. Have the sensor – tire pressure monitoring system checked by the dealer when a flat tire is repaired or replaced.

The guidance on wheel changes in the Ford Mustang (VI Gen, 2014–2023) places great emphasis on safety and precise work. The Ford Mustang 2014–2023 provides clear instructions to carry out the change correctly and avoid damage to the tire pressure monitoring system sensors.

It is especially important to have the sensors checked and replaced if necessary after a tire sealant has been used. The Ford Mustang VI generation shows its well-thought-out design for safe wheel changes and care of the technology.

These recommendations show how the Ford Mustang (VI Gen, 2014–2023) combines safety, functionality and responsibility.
