Keys

Keys
Key set: 1 Main remote-control keys (RKE). They determine the functions of the 'Key memory', i.e. the ability to programme certain vehicle equipment for each individual key, see page 59.
To distinguish keys from one another, you can mark them with the coloured stickers supplied at vehicle handover.
Each central locking key contains a long-life battery. The battery is automatically recharged in the ignition lock while driving. Therefore, approximately once every six months make a sufficiently long journey with a key you do not normally use inserted in the ignition lock, to recharge its battery, see page 30.
2 Spare key for storage in a safe place, for example in a wallet.
It does not fit the glove compartment lock. This can be useful, for example, in a hotel.
