Micro Filter / Activated Charcoal Filter

The micro filter removes dust and pollen from the incoming outside air. The activated charcoal filter additionally traps harmful gases. This combination filter is replaced as part of scheduled maintenance at a BMW service center.

A noticeable reduction in maximum airflow indicates that the filter must be replaced early.
