Switching Off the Engine

Vehicles with manual transmission:

1. Turn the ignition key to position 1 or 0.
2. Engage first gear or reverse gear.

Vehicles with automatic transmission:

1. Move the selector lever to position P.
2. Turn the ignition key to position 1 or 0.

The auxiliary fuel-fired heater quickly warms the interior when the engine is cold. Exhaust gases are discharged through the exhaust outlets located under the driver's door sill. If the engine is switched off before it has reached operating temperature, the auxiliary heater continues to operate for some time.

Exhaust gases are emitted during this process.

Do not remove the ignition key from the lock while the vehicle is moving, otherwise even a slight turn of the steering wheel will lock the steering column shaft lock.

When leaving the vehicle, remove the key from the ignition lock and lock the steering column shaft lock.

When parking on roads with a steep incline, apply the parking brake.
