Alarm System - Operating Principle

The alarm system responds to:

► opening of the doors, hood or upper tailgate;
► movement inside the vehicle: interior monitoring system;
► change in vehicle tilt, for example, when an attempt is made to steal a wheel or tow the vehicle;
► interruption of battery power.

The alarm system reacts to unauthorized actions differently, depending on the export version of the vehicle. Specifically:

► the alarm sounds for 30 seconds;
► the hazard warning lights turn on for approximately 5 minutes.
