Interior and Exterior Mirrors with Automatic Dimming
When driving forward, these mirrors dim automatically depending on the ambient light level. For this purpose, the interior rear-view mirror has two photocells. One photocell is located in the mirror glass, see arrow, and the other is on its rear side, slightly to the side.
For this function to work properly, the photocells must not be covered and must be kept clean. The space between the interior rear-view mirror and the windshield must always be kept clear. The area of the windshield in front of the mirror is not a place for stickers or decorative strips.
