Roof Rack

A roof rack is available for your BMW.

Observe the recommendations in its installation instructions.

Roof Rack Mounting Points: To access the mounting points, open the covers (see arrow) using the tool supplied with the roof rack.

Luggage Placement and Driving Characteristics: Luggage carried on the roof shifts the vehicle's center of gravity. This noticeably changes the vehicle's dynamic properties and handling.

Therefore, when carrying luggage, do not exceed the maximum roof load, the gross vehicle weight, and the axle loads.

Place luggage on the roof evenly and compactly. Heavy items go on the bottom. Make sure the load on the roof does not interfere with the sunroof and does not prevent opening the tailgate.

To avoid endangering other road users, secure the load firmly. Proper and secure fastening prevents the load from shifting or falling off the vehicle while driving.

Drive smoothly, avoiding jerky starts, hard braking, and aggressive cornering.
