Manual Unlocking

If there is a malfunction in the electrical system, the lower tailgate can be unlocked manually:

1. Remove the trim panel. To do this, pry it off with a key or screwdriver.

2. Using the same tool, push the lock tab to the side in the direction shown by the arrow – the tailgate will unlock.
3. Reinstall the trim panel.
