Aspherical Mirror
In this manual: Operation in detail
~1min read
The outer, aspherical part of the mirror provides a wider field of view than the inner, convex part, although with some distortion. As a result, the rear viewing angle increases and the so-called blind spot is reduced.
The passenger side mirror is slightly curved. Objects reflected in this mirror are actually closer than they appear.
Therefore, it is of limited use for judging the distance to vehicles approaching from behind. The same applies to the outer aspherical part of both outside mirrors.
