Audio System Anti-Theft System

On all EX-class models, the standard audio system is equipped with a security system. After the power is disconnected, the radio can only be activated by entering a 5-digit code, which is provided to the owner at the time of vehicle purchase. Even if the power was disconnected only for a moment, the audio system will not function without entering the code. Before disconnecting the battery or removing fuse No. 9 (20 A) from the fuse/relay box in the engine compartment, make sure you have the security code information.

To unlock the audio system, turn on its power: the display will show "CODE". Using the station preset buttons, enter the required 5-digit security code: the radio will emit a beep. You have 10 attempts to enter the correct combination. After the code is entered correctly, the "CODE" message should disappear from the display. Preset radio stations will need to be programmed again.
