Sunroof

The sunroof is operated by switches built into the panel located next to the overhead dome lights. The panel includes the sunroof sliding switch (for opening and closing) and the sunroof tilt switch. The sunroof motors operate only with the ignition switched on (ignition key turned to the "ON" [II] position). To open the vent, slide the sliding switch rearward, and vice versa. The tilt angle is adjusted using the second switch; the rear edge of the sunroof must rise. To return the sunroof to the horizontal position, slide the sliding switch forward.

The sunroof power drive can squeeze and injure a hand or fingers caught in the opening! Before closing the sunroof, make sure no passengers have placed their heads or hands in the opening.

Attempting to open the sunroof at sub-zero ambient temperatures, or if the sunroof is covered with snow or ice, may damage the glass panel or the drive mechanism!
