Cassette Deck - General Information

The location of the tape playback controls on the front panel of the radio is shown in the illustrations.

Turn on the radio by pressing the "PWR" button. Orient the audio cassette so that the side with the exposed section of magnetic tape is on the right. Then insert the cassette into the deck slot. The cassette should enter the slot almost completely, after which the tape is automatically loaded into the operating position and playback begins.

The up and down arrow indicators on the radio control display show the direction of tape travel and the track number being played. To change tracks and reverse the direction of tape travel, press the "PLAY" button.

The automatic reverse function allows continuous playback of the audio cassette: upon reaching the end of the tape, the cassette deck automatically reverses the direction of tape travel. Playback then continues from the second track of the magnetic tape.

Dolby noise reduction is switched on automatically as soon as the cassette is inserted into the deck slot. If the cassette was recorded without noise reduction, turn off this mode on the player by pressing the button with the icon.

To eject the cassette from the deck, press the "EJECT" button.
