Instrument Panel Illumination Dimmer

The illumination dimmer is built into the instrument cluster next to the speedometer assembly (see illustration). The required panel illumination intensity is adjusted by turning the dimmer knob.

Headlight Aiming Level Control

The headlight aiming level control allows the headlight beam direction to be adjusted in low beam mode to obtain the best road illumination under different vehicle loading conditions.

Adjust the control depending on the number of passengers and the presence and weight of cargo in the luggage compartment. Set the control to the position that corresponds to (or is closest to) the actual vehicle loading:
a) Position "0" - one driver, or driver and passenger in the front seat;
b) Position "1" - driver and four passengers in the front and rear seats;
c) Position "2" - driver, four passengers in the front and rear seats, plus cargo in the luggage compartment (gross vehicle weight within the permissible range);
d) Position "3" - one driver and cargo in the luggage compartment (front and rear axle loads within permissible limits, gross vehicle weight does not exceed the maximum permissible value).

On R-class models, headlight aiming is adjusted automatically in low beam mode.
