Keys and locks - general information

The standard equipment of the vehicle includes two sets of keys as a mandatory item. One of them (the spare) should always be stored in a safe place outside the vehicle.

Each key fits all locks of the vehicle, namely:
a) ignition switch;
b) door locks;
c) glove box lock;
d) trunk lid lock;
e) trunk lid remote release handle.

Each key set includes a tag with the key set serial number. The number may be required to make additional keys to replace lost ones. Keep the tag in a safe place. To ensure the number is available, write it down in a notebook or keep it in your wallet with other important documents. Only key blanks officially approved by Honda should be used to make additional keys.

The standard or optional equipment of some models may include a central door locking system. In such cases, each key set includes a key fob with a remote control (RC) for the locks.
