To open the glove box lid, press the left side of its handle button. The latch engages automatically when the lid is closed. The lock can be locked using the ignition key.

An open glove box lid may cause serious injury to the front passenger in a collision, even if the passenger is wearing a seat belt! Opening the glove box with the ignition on automatically turns on its light.
