Car Audio Anti-Theft System
On models equipped with this system, disconnecting the audio system from the power source for any reason will lock it.
To unlock the system, enter the five-digit code using the tuning buttons on the radio to the preset stations. Since there are hundreds of thousands of such combinations, it is practically impossible to unlock the system without knowing the correct code.
When the audio system is installed in the vehicle, the owner receives a special card with the code and the serial number of the audio system. The authors of this Manual strongly recommend keeping the card in a safe and secure place. Write the audio system serial number in a notebook and keep it with other documents outside the vehicle. A replacement card for a lost one can be obtained at authorized Honda service stations upon presentation of the serial number.
If the battery is discharged or disconnected, the audio system will inevitably lock. In this case, when the system is turned on, the word "Code" appears on the front panel display of the radio. Using the tuning buttons, enter the required five-digit code. If the code is entered correctly and recognized by the audio system, it will operate normally.
If an error is made when entering the code, do not try to correct it by pressing the buttons again. First finish entering the incorrect combination, and only then enter the correct code. You have ten attempts to enter the code. If the correct code cannot be entered within ten attempts, further attempts may be made no earlier than one hour later.
After unlocking the system, the radio memory must be reprogrammed for your favorite radio stations, since the audio system memory is erased when power is disconnected.
