Adjustable Steering Column Lock Lever

The steering column position on vehicles so equipped can be adjusted at the driver's discretion. Make the adjustment before starting to drive.

Adjusting the steering column position while the vehicle is moving may result in loss of vehicle control and may cause serious traffic accidents!

To adjust the steering column height, do the following:

a) Pull down the steering column lock lever, located on the left under the steering wheel, as far as it will go;
b) Adjust the steering wheel height by moving it to the required position in the vertical plane. A properly adjusted steering wheel must not block the view of the instrument cluster;
c) After adjustment is complete, lock the steering column by fully raising the lever to its original position;
d) Check that the column is securely locked by trying to move it up and down.
