Central Locking System

Each vehicle door is equipped with a lock release button. The central locking system allows all door locks to be locked or unlocked at the same time using one button located on the driver's door. The buttons on the other doors only operate the locks of their own doors.
When leaving the vehicle, the lock of any passenger door can be locked from the outside. To do this, press in the lock button on the open door and then close the door.

The front door locks can be locked and unlocked from outside the vehicle using the key.
When the driver's door lock is locked or unlocked with the key, all other door locks of the vehicle are locked/unlocked at the same time.
Some vehicle versions also allow the front passenger door to be locked/unlocked with the key.
Door Lock Accidental Lock Prevention
This feature is standard on some models. If the key is left in the ignition switch when exiting the vehicle, this feature prevents the driver's door from being locked. If an attempt is made to press in the door lock button, the lock buttons on all doors will immediately pop up automatically to the upper position.

This system may be standard on some models and is designed to improve the effectiveness of the vehicle's anti-theft protection and of any items inside the vehicle. To activate the system, turn the key in the lock twice within 5 seconds toward the front of the vehicle.
On models equipped with this system, the doors lock even with the windows lowered and the sunroof open.
It is also not possible to unlock doors locked by this system from inside the vehicle!
On some vehicle versions, the enhanced security lock system can be activated using the central locking remote control.

Central Locking Remote Control

If the locks are locked again with the remote before the specified 10 seconds have elapsed, the interior lights switch off immediately.
If none of the vehicle's doors is opened within 30 seconds after unlocking them with the remote, all locks will automatically lock again.
If the key is left in the ignition switch or any door is not fully closed, the door locks cannot be controlled with the remote control.
On some models, the tailgate/luggage compartment lid can be unlocked with the central locking remote. Press and hold the lower right button on the remote for approximately one second.

Replacing the Battery
The following signs indicate that the remote transmitter battery is running low and must be replaced:
a) The indicator LED built into the key fob does not light when the transmitter buttons are pressed;
b) Locking/unlocking the doors requires pressing the transmitter buttons several times.
A discharged battery must be replaced immediately with a new one, type CR2025.
To replace the battery, remove the round cover located on the back of the remote transmitter. The cover is removed by turning it counterclockwise. A small coin can be used for this. Remove the old battery from the transmitter, paying attention to its polarity. Install the new battery into the transmitter with the "+" side facing up.

Install the cover in its original position on the transmitter, aligning the CC mark on the cover with the mark on the housing, then turn the cover clockwise.
Remote Transmitter Handling and Care
Do not subject the transmitter to strong impacts, do not drop it or throw it. Do not expose the transmitter to excessively high or low temperatures, and do not leave it for long periods in direct sunlight. To clean the outside of the transmitter, use a soft cloth. The use of solvents or aggressive cleaning agents may cause erosion of the transmitter surface. Immersing the transmitter in water or other liquids may cause it to malfunction.
If the remote transmitter is lost, contact an authorized Honda service station to purchase a replacement and have it programmed to your vehicle's keyless entry system. When purchasing and programming a new transmitter, the remaining transmitter(s) must also be reprogrammed.
Child Safety Door Lock

To prevent children from accidentally opening the doors while the vehicle is in motion, the rear door locks are equipped with a special child safety lock. A child safety lever is located on the end surface of each rear door. If the lever is moved to the "LOCK" position with the door open and the door is then closed, the door cannot be opened from the inside using the interior handle, regardless of the position of the door lock button. To open a rear door locked in this way, lift the door lock button and use the exterior handle.
